Halfway through part 3 after going backwards and forwards with my feelings on this book, I am now at the point where I feel I can review it. If you loved I am pilgrim, do not read this!!! Pilgrim was a masterpiece page turner, that I read over the course of a week. This has taken me nearly 6 months really struggling to go back to it and keep reading. It never really gets going, just flippy flapping between ideas with no real coherent plot line. It's a man trying to destroy the west by ways that are never made clear and a man trying to stop him using increasingly implausible scenarios. What makes it worse, is that I waited for years for this to be released after reading pilgrim and brought it at a premium in hard back. I mean I will probably be dead by the time he releases his next book, but if I am still in this mortal realm, I will not be purchasing it.
