Wow... What an impressive game. All around, I'm having one of the best experiences in gaming I've ever had and I've only sunk 13 hours into this. I built myself a beautiful cottage house, unlocked all the crafting vendors, and got some nice new weapons. I love that this game isn't the norm when it comes to survival games. I consider it to be more of an RPG than it is survival. You don't have to eat or drink to stay alive, but you're incentivized to do those things to be stronger in combat. The building is second to none in my opinion... There's a definite learning curve but once you get the hang of it, you can make some insane creations. My friend even built a hobbit hole and it looks amazing. Overall, this game is a must-have if you're into the fantasy or survival genre. There is something for everyone in this game and I HIGHLY recommend it. Don't think about, just get the game.

Man... really sad to leave this review. I rated this 5 stars at launch. The problem is, 343 has literally done nothing to improve this game or add new content since launch. They call it a "live service" but the service part of that has been missed entirely. They barely even update the store as they recycle items previously advertised. This game had me playing nonstop at launch but can't play it in it's current state. 343 needs to do something and quickly. Losing 90% of your player base within months is a telling sign that they're completely missing the mark on evolving the multiplayer aspect of this game. Not only that, Co-op and forge have been delayed again. Updates from 343 are few and far between and new content seems to be further and further away. No progression outside of the battle pass to speak of... What other Halo game doesn't have a basic leveling system where you can rank up and use in-game credits to purchase armor? This game was so promising with it's incredible gameplay but you can't expect people to keep playing for that reason alone. This review will stay 1 star until 343 lives up to their promises.
