The first thing you realise straight away after watching this film is it is at a level at par with other internationally acclaimed films. The layers that went into the making of the protagonist make the character extremely complex, pretty much like Hamlet. This movie is usually left out when referring to Satyajit Ray's great works. Nonetheless, it is and still remains one of Ray's most structured masterpieces.
