Don't listen to the "professional" reviewers. I rarely say that the movie is better than the book, but I make an exception here. The book was wonderful, and deserving of its accolades, but it is a bit tedious. The movie was less confusing, but didn't seem to leave anything out. The acting leads are ALL wonderful, especially the actors who play the boys in their teens and the actors who portray them as young adults. Go see this movie, before it is pulled from the theaters because of the thumbs down from professional reviewers.
