Rayman Legends is my favorite platformer ever, but through playing it all I have only one complaint. As a PlayStation player I try to platinum the games I like, and Rayman Legends, being one of my favorite games, is on my hit list. All the trophies are reasonable enough to get, collecting every teensie and lum was grindy but not horrible, collecting 1 million lumps is painstaking but I’ll do it, it’s just the stupid mindless level 11 trophy that gets me. On top of 100% every level now I have to play for like 3 months just for this one stupid trophy? And half the times the servers don’t even work, ive had like 30 points never given to me for no reason. Wich brings me back to the fact that no game developers should EVER by any means make any trophies online related, because when the servers inevitably shut down however long in the future nobody can get the pplatinum anymore, I feel like Rayman legends could just shut down with no prior warning any day of the week now.

Indie games like Cuphead and Hotline Miami are some of my favorite games ever! Indie games have shown me some of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve ever had, but risk of rain 2 just sucks. It’s one of the ugliest and most repetitive games I’ve ever played. The game works off a system where it constantly spits out waves of enemies at you that get harder as time goes on, sometimes you’ll fight a wave of 20 annoying low rank enemies that take too long to beat and other times you’ll fight bigger enemies or powered up versions of normie enemies that are equally boring to fight. The objective is as simple as fight through the enemies while buying/finding upgrades until you find a teleporter, activating the teleporter summons a boss before letting you move on, this is one of the only interesting parts of the whole game. It’s an annoying and repetitive gameplay loop with simple power ups that just so happens to be ugly as well, I’m not bashing the game cause it’s indie, and I’m not expecting it to look AAA, but I just don’t like it. I was hyped to play this game but man it just sucks, go buy enter the gungeon or cuphead and play an indie game that’s actually fun and has a kind of difficulty that’s fun to master and not just dull and annoying. One of the worst games I played this year. Also note that I played this slop on console and not PC, I’ve heard the PC version is better, but I just hate this game man.

I like racing games and I’ve played quite a few of them, definitely enough to know what makes a good one. And the crew doesn’t feel like it should be a racing game, there’s so many cars and vehicles that vary in speed but within the first 10 hours of the game I realized that driving free roam was really fun but the races are kind of a drag. I think it’s the drift controls. I’m not using a drift car, but on any regular car the turning is ludicrous! It one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with, everything in this game can be forgiven but the turning, every time I come to a 60 degree turn in the road I know that the brakes will put me at a dead stop or I’ll fly into a wall from trying to not use them. Another thing is how you can’t quit a race, on the last race I played I was in front and hit a wall on the corner of a turn, everyone passed me and I tried to restart but realized there is no restart. Hitting L1 + R1 respawns you to the center of the road, but you actually have to play the entire 2 minute race or exit and restart the game to get out of a race. Add a quit button and fix these awful brakes.

When I saw that there was going to be a dungeon crawler set in a Minecraft theme I got super hyped. Upon buying the base game you get some good story levels and even some secret levels to unlock, overall it was great. And don’t get me wrong, this is a great game, But after around 15 hours of play time it gets boring due to Mojang making you buy the other half of a game you already payed 35 bucks for. If you like a compressed grindy game with tons of weapons and detailed levels, this is for you. But be warned, without all the dlc this can get boring quick.

An absolute masterpiece everyone needs to play! I have been a fan of this game since I first got it on the PS3, everything from the graphics to the music to the characters is executed perfectly. You won’t regret playing this game, It has tons of weapons, characters and animal orbs to collect. As well as a quick sense of humor and challenging boss fights. Truly one of the best platformers out there.
