Better than mean girls 2, worse than the broadway musical version and can’t even hold a candle to the original version Mean Girls 2004. Bunch of songs cramped into a movie/musical? Save yourself the time and trouble, stick to the broadway musical version or the Mean Girls 2004.

There are a lot worse movies out there that have a higher rating than this - people are probably hating on it because of its ethnic origin: Chinese. Be open minded, and give this movie a shot - “the movie feels rush, 1 dimensional, no character development” really? Have the critics seen the movies produced lately? All remakes, no originality (majority of the Disney movie remakes, Willy Wonka, etc). I give this at least 7/10.

Ryan Gosling is such a cringe throughout the movie - would have given this movie a 4 out of 5 if they didn’t cast him as one of the lead actors. Basically ruined the movie - watch this on Netflix or on some other streaming platform so you can fast forward when you see him on the screen so you don’t need to sit through the torture of watching it in the theatre.

Hard pass on this movie - Ezra Miller’s acting is so cringe, every time he shows up on the screen I fast forward the movie.
