Slow moving intrigue with excellent background, architecture sets, lighting and beautiful screenplay. The plot twists and turns all the way to its sad end. Indeed I searched for the last episode in vain hoping for a befitting end. Alas. I love the lavish costumes and elaborate hairdos of the women all of whom were beautifully portrayed. There was nothing plastic about the acting, I enjoyed the playful facial expressions of WeiZhi when she was a court officer and then becoming very feminine as ZhiWei. Main actor NingYi acted sensationally as a lovestruck Prince as well as a cunning plotter. A wonderful series to watch and a great way to leave the Covid world behind for a whole week!
