This game was made six months after I was born. Eleven years later, I watched my favorite YouTuber (it was EthanGamerTV, back then, and it still is, sort of) play it. I was pretty fascinated about being a little microscopic cell that evolves to become an actual walking organism that achieves humanlike sentience. One summer, I had gotten good grades. I told my mom about the game, and told her that it was educational, since it literally teaches you about evolution, and other biologically similar topics. For weeks, my mom tried to get it. First, she bought a disk version, but it wouldn't work for some unknown reason that was outside my range of comprehension. Then, one night, my mom downloaded the game using this thing called Origin. I played it, and the game gave me exactly what I expected and hoped for. The cell stage was pretty fun. The creature stage was harder for me (I had not known what to expect, because Ethan hadn't gotten too far in the creature stage), but it was entertaining to make my creature look hilarious and walk around, looking for random bone piles to dig through. Then came the tribal stage, where my creature had finally had some sense to put pants on. The civilization stage was fun for me, because you can make your vehicles look like almost anything, even characters from other games, like Doomguy. Last came the space stage, which was my favorite one, because not only can you fly around through space in a device reminiscent to a a space ship holding a pistol in its nonexistent hand, but you can also shape literal planets, have fun messing around with random creatures and people, trade with aliens, and shoot down random ships of evil creatures that proceed to fire rockets at anything that flies in their line of fire. All in all, Spore is one of the best things I've played, and I advise you to give it a try.
