An interesting and thought provoking book, the unidentified images are heartbreaking, did they survive the war or not? Are there people out there who have never seen a photograph of a relative who fought in the First World War, and there maybe one in this book. Although I give the book Five Stars, an unfortunate issue is the wrong context for the British Royal Artillery. At the time of the photographs, the Royal Artillery was divided into, Royal Horse Artillery (mounted), Royal Field Artillery (mounted) and the Royal Garrison Artillery. Calling an RFA Gunner 'a Royal Artillery Cavalryman' and a Gunner 'a Royal Artillery Private', is just wrong. This oversight could have so easily been rectified with some research.
