I've always believed that the band misjudged its audience, thinking that they would be forever content with the old hits decade after decade. So when this double album came out, I wore it out. This album has some of the best tracks they ever did, the title track, Waiting in the Weeds , It's Your World Now. Side 2 is the stronger, they have essentially five rockers in a row,, and Henleys voice and lyrics are peerless,, as is Joe's guitar, which the linear notes don't identify, but you can tell when he is playing. On side 1 the love songs are good but same themed about losing the one you wanted. I still play this album because the Eagles studio efforts ended way too early. I believe they should record something new, anything new like an EP, and get Deacon and Vinces voices in the studio. I believe this would honor Glenn, because his son recording studio tracks with his dads band would be powerful, and Vince Gill and Glenn were friends.
