Immaculate book, everything about it is intriguing. The way Sugaru Miaka manages to adopt her perspective of love and happiness in this book, in a unique methodical manner, is truly, brilliantly accomplished.
I love the flow of the story and how you can feel the miserable life of kusunoki through the atmosphere and tone of the book. this is emphasised by the slow pace of the words presented on the paper, indicating how boring and natural his flawed life is, how relatable it may seem to us, making it seem just a mere reflection of ourselves or what we despise to become. This changes as the flow of the story seems more vigorous to the introduction of Miyagi, relieving ,already, the plain image we have of kusunoki, providing us with his reaction to social interaction, already supplying us a large understanding of his character and reactions to his surroundings.
The plot progresses, along with his happiness, precisely exhibiting Miyagi’s true impact on Kusunoki’s life. Further emphasised by ,when she left, he had developed greater as a character but was also expressed through his emotions and cries. Which were never revealed before despite the built up pain he’s endured, truly illustrating what he lost was the greatest loss he had withstand.
I could go on forever disclosing my admiration for this intricate masterpiece, however i think this is enough evidence to how impeccable this book is.
also miyagi and kusunoki have amazing music taste <3
