I liked it...sort of. A black Arthur? Um. No. Not any more than a white guy can be Shaft.
Love skarsgard no matter if he is Floki or Merlin. He's awesome.
Not too thrilled with boring Nimue. Plus, she is a bit chunky to be a warrior witch. Women warriors don't have arms the size of hams. Look at the viking women. Buffed and really able to swing a sword. Nimue is too puffy.
The story itself? Too swishy this way, swashy that way, with no rhyme or reason. Still...it did keep me occupied when I binged it. Will I do the same with season 2? Doubtful.
Too many questions unanswered...or forgotten about that needs answers.
Stupid name for the series.
Bad acting. Except for Skarsgard.
No real plot.
Dumb decisions.
Backwards battles of fey against mortal against romans againt this or that or whatever and no reasons for any of it.
Did I mention dreadful acting on Nimue and her hamlike arms? Cinched in waist makes her rolls hang out on the bottom of her kirtle when she sits. Not flattering and most assuredly not warrior-like.
Meh. King Arthur is something we all grew up with. This story is so far off, it's an insult to Arthur, Lancelot, Merlin and the whole round table.
