This movie is inspiring, colourful, sad, happy and joyous. It is a beautiful film with a very realistic and captivating story being told. (small spoiler) There are moments in the movie where Sias music is playing and a nicely Choreographed dance is happening, this isn't a random scene that people compare to a music video, this is part of the story which shows us the character Music and what she is seeing. It's beautiful, bright, fun and a real pleasure to watch and to just let the story unfold without trying to guess the end or make sense of a scene during it. The costume design is unreal and the dancing was just sensational.
I walked into this movie with low hopes and expectations because of all the haters and people against what Sia had done. (cast an actor who wasn't on the spectrum as someone who is.) Now i understand peoples reaction to this because, fair enough, people who are part of an autistic community or have had this impact there lives would want an actor who was on the spectrum to play this movie role. But to cast this shadow over the movie and then take a dislike to not only the movie but to Sia as a whole is absurd.
Having said this others know considerably more than myself and have a better picture. All I am just suggesting is that you should watch the movie yourself (because it is fantastic and very moving). But also that you research and make your own choices without listening to others.
