Gulabo Sitabo is a crude satire directed at stingy Mirza Nawab's love for the crumbling halevi,The Fatima Mahal situated in Lucknow.It shows the relationship between the landlord and the tenants at a meditative pace. The men occupy most of the screen time in the movie,the women, operating in margins,consistently outwit them. This movie fails in keeping the viewers engaged or entertained throughout .However it can be a visual treat to people who enjoy Contemporary Hindi Films.All in all this movie gives an insight into the lost world of Lakhnavis.
