I have read the annihilation book before watching the movie and it was a fine book.I started watching with high expectations as the book offered a lot of interesting plots for a great adaptation. My expectations began to drop as the most terrible plot I've ever seen in an adaptation was revealed. The lighthouse part was such a disaster that I couldn't have imagined was possible before that point. Not only it was far ,far away from the original story but also so logically unfathomabale that I don't even know how in the world this plot was formed in the writer's mind. They literally ANNIHILATED annihilation.
