I’m a period / history piece fanatic so when I saw this pop up I was immediately interested. I held off for a week or so because so many shows have left me disappointed lately . Lack of character development, predictable story lines , same settings , or they are just extremely dark and looming with this gothic/ occult undertones . This was a breath of fresh air ! Loved the characters, each episode has a new story for the most part . It’s like the alienist mixed with Ms.scarlett and the Duke minus the dark Freudian/gothic /occult atmosphere of the alienist . Definitely give it a watch . I was definitely laughing out loud and clapping like I was in the scene . It’s fun , new and a fresh take storyline for period pieces but still enough mystery, wit and action to keep you ready for the next episode. Love it !
