I don't like the show Velma by Mindy Kaling because I feel that it completely destroys the essence of the beloved characters from the original Scooby-Doo series. Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, and Velma have all been reimagined in a way that feels forced and unnatural, with exaggerated personalities and backstories that seem to undermine the integrity of the characters. Daphne, who was once portrayed as a strong and resourceful character, is now reduced to a shallow and materialistic socialite. Fred, the natural leader of the group, is turned into a bumbling and insecure fool. Shaggy, known for his love of food and easygoing nature, is transformed into a cynical and standoffish character. And Velma, the intelligent and rational member of the group, is now portrayed as a quirky and socially awkward genius. Overall, I feel that the changes made to these iconic characters in Velma do a disservice to the legacy of the original series and fail to capture the essence of what made Scooby-Doo so beloved in the first place.
