From Marlon Brando in The Wild One, to Easy Rider, to Hells Angels on Wheels, to The Wild Angels, to Little Fauss and Big Halsy, to Sons of Anarchy and Mayans I have been a fan of motorcycle films on the big and small screen forever. Everyone of the afore mentioned productions had something to offer in my opinion. The Bike Riders and Austin Butler are a complete dud and a waste of time. The only thing this film has working for it is the music sound track and the rumble of of bike engines. As an actor Austin Butler has a zero emotional range in the three productions that I have seen. Sullen, brooding, no affect, no spark. Just plain dull and boring. Julie comer has a few moments of genuine spark, but her super fake Chicago accent is way off the mark as is just about every other actor's in this film. The only characters that are the least bit interesting and relatable are those portrayed by Tom Hardy and Michael Shannon whose small role is wasted one his substantial acting chops. I think I'd like to see the photo book on which this film is based.
