This album has been a special favorite of mine from I first heard it- about 1966. It kept me
sane (relatively speaking)through my college years and beyond. I feel privileged that I was able
to see the original quartet at Newport Jazz Festival in 1966 or 67. Brubeck's composition and
the lyrical playing of Paul Demond are an incredible gift - always a source of inspiration.
