As most of my Mother’s family were murdered in concentration camps, I found it a very hard film to watch. I cannot be compassionate, although I realise that Hannah was a victim too. However the SS guards were able to do what they did because for many years prior to the war Jews were vilified. We must teach people from a young age that racism and any forms of oppression is wrong. I think this film insults the memories of the Jews, Roma, Disabled and Gay people who were murdered by the Nazis.
