Outstanding performance by John Cusack. This dark, imaginative tale made possible by the mysterious death of Edgar Allan Poe, delivers chills and intrigue to the viewer. I found the plot twists entertaining with a rapid progression leading to a strangely satisfying ending.

Intriguing timelines, spot on acting, suspenseful build up, leading the intrigued viewer to anticipation a profound ending......then it just falls flat with a simplified and rushed wrap that gives you plain vanilla when you were expecting rocky road. Next please....
