Well after reading the first review, I find it hard to add to this as I am in total agreement. However, let me try, I purposely did not look at the table of contents as I did not want to either jump to a story or dismiss a subject that I may not be interested in. I am so glad I did this, as I did not want to arbitrary discount a story I might not have interest in. So two things happened, one was the anticipation of the next story and two I found myself reading a story or two that I would probably never have entertained by themselves. Therefore, for me this shows that one does not have to look for knowledge to gain it. In typical Brewer fashion, the small volume of information oozes out and makes you wonder what the next story holds. There is always a small portion of information that I have known, much confirmed and always-new information to be absorbed. So again, I am grateful for the opportunity to review a book from my friend and I would encourage anyone with a desire to learn from history that you give this a read. The depth of knowledge and research in Marks books truly show his love of History and his desire to share it. Next up for me is Swim, Surrender or Die.
