Well, personally, I've watched *Coraline* over 100+ times. And, I have to say, to those who think it's 'boring' are incredibly naive and inattentive. Heck, anyone rating this movie under *3 stars* is outright non-vigilant.
What I'm saying the movie is a master-piece.
The movie had an incredible amount of talent through-out voice acting, animation, music, design e.t.c. My favorite movie by far. I can't speak enough, this movie is just--- too great! And, it should have won the Oscar for *best animated feature film* in 2009. Screw UP
(Though it is a great movie)
The movie in general is so detailed, colorful, funny, and out-right *stupendous*. Great job Laika, and don't worry, I'll be rating all of your AMAZING films.
To those who do not believe this to a children's film, whether it be the *theater* scene, or the fact that it's, quote, "too scary", I've got a reality check for you.
1. The scene was meant to me funny, obviously, as a 7 year-old it was hilarious. Kids don't understand the nature of sexuality (which it wasn't) or 'private parts',
2. The movie is meant to be, specifically, 'spooky'. If its scary to you, then, by all means, don't watch. Coraline is 11 years-old. There, in-person, battling what you believe is 'terrifying'.
3. Ratatouille is a fine movie, but, not better than Coraline.
4. And finally, to those who don't respect the animation itself, you're pathetic.
