Dan Walding

This is a long movie. In many ways an atypical Bond, and you'd be mistaken for thinking it's a remake of that mission impossible film with philip seymour hoffman. It's actually pretty entertaining for the first half but then become completely contrived all for the sake of Daniel Craig's send-off. The second half really felt like a different movie, certainly a different director. This movie was a real opportunity lost.

This movie tries so hard to be the female Jason Bourne or female John Wick. Unfortunately the ensemble cast can't save the bland script and dull, predictable story. The cast sleepwalk their way to a paycheck. Good money if you can get it I suppose.

We put this on thinking from the cast that it would be comedy. After 10 minutes I figured it must be black comedy and patiently waited for the setup. But no, it wasn't black humour, they actually tried to put a girl power angle out of being part of the mob extorting people. If you're gonna put a girl power slant on organised crime you can get away with it ala sin city. But taking it seriously, it's just unbelievable. It's only worth watching to see how bad it is.
