Honestly one of the best games I have played in the last few years! Resident Evil Village is the perfect combination of horror, action and puzzles whilst carrying on Ethan’s fascinating story. I am very new to the RE franchise, having only played Resident Evil 7, but after completing Village I am now a huge fan and cannot wait to play the games from the very beginning. The characters in this game are fantastic and so well done, and the graphics are unbelievably good. I was absolutely astounded by how amazing Lady Dimitrescu’s castle looked in particular, whilst the entire village was hauntingly beautiful. The gameplay was similar to RE7 but Village added a lot more customisation and the gameplay feels a lot smoother too. Being a 31 year old woman it has to take a good bit of horror in a game to make me jump, but this game had my heart going (especially in one particular level - you’ll know it when you play it!). Ethan is such a well-done character and playing as him was a joy. Thank you to everyone who developed this game and made it happen - this will be one of my favourites for many years to come and I am already looking forward to playing it again!
