I'll give it 4 stars on the account that I binged all 12 episodes in 1 day. Interesting concept with the Aztec gods who unlike other deities haven't featured in many series. Though based on actual myths, there are a lot of liberties taken to blend it into a story. The human characters are rather annoying (which is why the series loses a star). The MC is constantly whining, making stupid choices, and very delayed in making up his mind or executing an action. The 2 male human supports are stupid, stubborn, and again annoying. The 2 female human supports are at least likable. As for the gods and emissaries, they add real charm to the series.
