An extremely important documentary that can help us all to realize our relationship to the trees of the forest. But more importantly, it has implications for how we treat each other and the rest of the earth.
These scientists are discovering what has long been the core philosophy, ethic, and embedded in the praxis of Ifa, an international Religion of West African origin. According to Ifa, our cosmos is highly populated with persons, including, but not limited to, humans. Moreover, all persons are related. Most of these persons are older (and wiser) than humans and have developed ways of being in multifaceted community that human persons have yet to learn.
In fact, one could say that human persons should take lessons in living from our relatives, tree persons, and to realize if we want to survive, below ground, we are are also "forests."
Perhaps, that is the true definition of "Beloved Community."
