UI is clunky and off-putting. Using a controller in hand with your guitar was easier than being tethered to a keyboard and mouse but this UI doesn't lend itself to that. Also, song selection is atrocious. I was a huge fan of RS 2014 and spent hundreds of dollars on DLC, with thousands of hours not only using the game to enhance my knowledge of music and technical ability (guitar cade and scale exercises are gone apparently) but also entertaining, using rocksmith as a way for people singing to engage with the guitar players for a more fun version of keoroke. I went and bought an $80 HDMI to run from My computer to the TV, and extra $30 real tone cable, some USB extenders as well. Ran some effects through a loop through the living room so I could stomp my boxes. Brought over some friends and a guitarist and drummer, set up the electric drums, we booted it up to have a good night then found 3 songs we wanted to play. Went back to rocksmith 2014 after about 30 minutes of browsing songs. As a tool for learning I see where it could work, but most of the songs are just chord charts or don't offer bass support. Why not just hook up my PA and look up tabs for songs people actually want to hear. Saying this was a huge letdown is the understatement of the year. You guys have got to fix the library issues here. It is going to kill the service that I would gladly pay for.
