I've watched the first four episodes and I'm pretty disappointed. I get the fact that you need to move a show along, but so much is being skipped over or added in that doesn’t need to be. On top of that the people from the different places are supposed to look different and have their own cultures, how does it make sense for the people in Emond's Field to look like the cast of a we are the world commercial? Rand is supposed to be odd looking and really different from everyone else when all he has is red hair in a village with every race on Earth living in it? It just doesn't work. The people in Edmond's Field are on the outskirts of the world and mostly cut off, they don't have new blood coming in everyone would more or less been married to almost every one else, so there wouldn't be people of different races there would only be a village of people that mostly look semi related. I don't get why they needed to add characters to just kill off or change around so many events. Would it hurt for more faithful adaptions of proven stories? This show has the hallmarks of the terrible Sword of Truth show.
