Even more compelling than Yellowstone!

A lighter story than a typical mob film but great characters, pacing and well worth a watch

Audience ratings are right and the critics got this wrong. These are characters whose relationship really develops in the first half so the revenge story which follows has some credibility. Amazing action scenes too. Well worth a watch. Denzel is brilliant and Dakota is a gifted child actor.

Thoughtful, nice pace, and an epic turn from Glenn Close. Stories from parts of America we don’t hear enough about.

Not a patch on the 1994 version. The timeline jumps around so erratically, without cues to clarify where we are in the story, it completely breaks the flow. Terrible casting for most roles. I didn’t feel any connection to the characters (not a tear shed for Beth’s death). The Winona version is vastly superior
