SPOILER ALERT: I’m not a writer, and I’m not a movie critic…but I’m a lover of all things James Bond! Having seen them all (hasn’t everyone), I have to admit this is the first one where I’ve ever lost sleep over…but as I’ve reflected the past 12 hours, not for bad reasons. As I tossed and turned all night I woke to realize never had I felt so connected with the James Bond character…Daniel Craig is simply amazing. I’m ashamed to admit I still remember when they announced him as the new Bond and I was so disappointed - he was so bad in the Lara Croft movie, I couldn’t imagine him as Bond. Obviously I realized the wrong of my ways with the opening of Casino…he truly is a remarkable actor. This movie has it all and ties up all the loose ends for Daniel Craig’s run as James Bond. I’m a crier - and the end killed me. How can James Bond die - He’s James Bond for bloody sakes!!! But alas die he does, saving the world, but also made the world safe for the woman he loves and his child…loved the ending when Madeline says I’m going to tell you a story about a man named Bond, James Bond…ugh, tearing up again! Again, I’m not a critic, I’m a fan and though I “hated” the end, it was fitting and a great movie as well. Time will tell whether it replaces Skyfall as my favorite Craig film…wow, I still can’t believe it’s really over. It’s like I need to see it again just to realize it’s real. Thank you Daniel Craig for these five wonderful films…damn I’m a sap.
