It's a yawner. Watching the beautiful and talented Penelope Cruz is always pleasurable, but this story is implausible. Also, the stiching together of two separate story lines - the part dealing with the mass murders of innocents by Franco's vicious civil war supporters is too brief and undeveloped to be a story line, it's more a brief political statement - doesn't wok well.and it doesn't work wellt -is strained and doesn't seem to fit well.
