Visually stunning and extremely compelling - I was unfamiliar with the source material, both the eponymous book and the infamous 1984 version. Nonetheless the movie does a great job of establishing a universe of interesting, if not a little cliché, characters, and phenomenal worlds. This is adult Star Wars that can be thought of as Game of Thrones meets Blade Runner 2049. This Sci-fi epic oozes details that reward you for multiple viewings and is the best Star Wars film you have never seen, and unlike the past trilogy- absolutely an experience not to be missed. I watched on HBO Max and now must see it in the largest screen I can!
