Ed Macomber

I just watched the segment with Sadie, the leukemia survivor who started the toy drive for sick children at Christmas. She was absolutely astonishing. I have always been a big admirer of Kelly and love her music and watching her on the Voice. However, I feel it necessary to comment that as a multi millionaire, she surprised Sadie with a mere five thousand dollars for this extraordinary cause and all the work she is doing for sick children. I’m certain Kelly probably has five thousand in her pocketbook or spends that amount on fancy dinners with friends. I’m just a little disappointed that the show didn’t at least give twice that much which would really have made a difference in what Sadie is trying to accomplish. We lost a son to leukemia and know how children and young adults suffer through this horrible disease. Although we were not personally in need of gifts, many parents become destitute as they suffer through treatments for their children. Hopefully Kelly gives to many causes and I don’t know the whole story. I still admire her greatly.
