For the first few hours after watching it, all you can think of is Delroy Lindo's colossal acting performance as it is seared in your brain because of its ferociousness. There are some disjointed pieces of the puzzle, but so is the whole idea of Vietnam, the place, and the war. Still, the authentic emotions of black men who served as pawns there burns through the undercurrents of the story like the poison of hell. Exceptional film-making.
