This movie didn’t respect its source material. A biography has a responsibility to portray the life of the person it’s about with respect, and this movie did not. Instead the director felt he had to punch it up with family guyesq style cut always l, and even broke into Shakespearestyle siloquey becayse it had no idea how to portray an emotionally conflicted moment. It even had a legit fake out ending. This movie isn’t insulting to the Vice President. It insults the viewer. If the writer had so little faith that the life of the Vice President could be interesting, neither he, the studio, or director should have touched it. I seen it written that it was made for liberals. I am a liberal and say no, it was made for toddlers.
