This documentary was really dull. It was all about how wonderful the climber is. Peaks are ascended one by one, lickity split. There's no problems, no challenges, no humanity. They're all gods. Too much is glossed over. It made me wonder if it was even real. Maybe it should have been longer or been a series, but there is very little story telling going on, all the challenges the team faces are mere inconveniences, and it caused me to disconnect early on. Felt like I just watched a show about some awesome dude and wanted to watch a show about mountain climbing.

Well, I watched it bc the trailer intrigued me. I watched it without looking at reviews prior so I would not be influenced. But, it fell flat for me. I’m confused. So, is the point that they turned into wolves? Are Vern and his wife wolves? Did they have to myrder their child bc of some Native curse? Why did she murder her child? Why was Vern the way he was? His friend, Cheeon, the way he was? The story never answers these questions. We’re tgey carrying some deep curse of the white man, passed from generation to generation? Why did the wife kill the old woman? Why did the boy have to die? And where were they taking him, in the end? Why did Vern kill Donald, the cop? Too many unanswered questions that never were resolved. This could have been so much better. Instead, I had to fight myself from falling asleep. One review said “it gets resolved in the last frame”. Well, no it doesn’t. I missed it. Even though it’s beautufully shot and has the makings of a dark mystery thriller-hit, it is not. 😭

I enjoyed watching this show. I looked at no reviews prior.,it was entertaining and kept up the pace most episodes. I cared about the characters and really enjoyed it. However, the last episode, I just didn’t really get. I think they were trying to end with some deep philosophy of life, kinda bittersweet. But, it just came out confusing. There was no resolution regarding the other ghosts in the house. And is the house supposed to be an interdimensional portal? if so, how did it get this way? Anyway, not every rounding out of a ghost story is completely necessary. But, I was hoping to Have a bit more closure at the end, but did not. Still worth watching all the way, though.
