It really is a must read, a great classic that started a whole new genre that is quite unique, specially when considering the era in which it was written. Though it is important to note that it is not at all perfect, holding issues such as some repetitive dialogues and a noticeable lack of development in a few characters like Van Helsing or Quincey Morrys.
What was most captivating was the character interactions, which were often heartwarming. The book reaches its peak at around the middle, after the death of a beloved character, wonderfully albeit sadly setting the tone of the rest of the story as well as one of the main motivation for the characters. From then its quality declines somewhat but nevertheless maintains us engaged and curious as to how the adventure will reach its end, which is adequate.
