I also wrote a review for the first game in this series, Monster Prom. I love both of these games, but this was actually my first game of the two. I'd have to say this is my favorite of the two, not just because I experience it first, but also because I've found it to be my choice for multiplayer games.
Same as Monster Prom, Monster Camp is an interesting take on a dating sim! Its full of pop culture references as well as a very adult humor style. All the monsters you're trying to date are really not objectively good characters, and neither are you as a player character! XD
I recommend reading your dialogue out loud when playing with a group, as it adds an extra layer of fun and silliness. When we describe this game to our friends we want to play with, they think we're crazy. That is until we actually sit down and play a game, in which case they usually ask when the next time we can play is. Which is very helpful because even after over 50 hours of playtime, we're still working on getting all the secret endings! And no where close.
That's another thing I love about this game though, all the different endings and outcomes available make for great replayability. If this all sounds like your cup of tea, check out both this and Monster Prom! Plus get excited for their next project and installment in the series, Monster Roadtrip!
