Everything I loved about the Dragon Age series was removed in this game ðŸ˜.
If this was something other than Dragon Age, I'd give it more grace, but it's not.
I'm honestly extremely surprised different Game Review companies are rating the game so highly.. #suspicious
Pros:
+ Character Creation is easy to make attractive characters
+ Dialogue is smooth
+ It's hard to put down the game (addictive gameplay)
+ It starts expanding on the lore towards the end of Act 1, giving us new info about the world
Cons:
- None of your prior decisions from the first 3 games seem to matter
- The role-playing seems to have drastically dropped (there are dialogue options that change how you respond, but it's very surface level)
-So far the romance dialogue has been very surface level..
- You can only equip 3 spells/abilities at a time (4 including your Ultimate)
-The game keeps randomly reseting/changing my Ultimate without me even going into that menu
- You can't control the other Companions
- You can't really talk to any NPCs
- THE AIMING AND TARGEGING SYSTEMS ARE PAINFUL
- My least favorite: All enemies auto target onto your playable character almost at all times (not very realistic and makes ranged characters often frustrating to play)
- This is the furthest from Origins they've gone 😞
All this being said, I'm committed to playing the game through and through, but only because I'm here for the lore and Solas at this point 😅..
