I love this book the movie is based on this book the book tells you information about the four acts that occurred on March 6,1836 the first two acts happened outside in the plaza the third act happened in the long barracks which proved to be fatal for the Texans the final act took place in the only building that remains of the Alamo in the present the Alamo Chapel the difference between the Alamo in 1836 and today is the floor was dirty and today its clean l like the chapel and every time I see the Alamo I am reminded of the first time I seen this in 1993 I knew what the Alamo was but I was unclear about Santa Anna's defeat in April 1836 I knew from the movie they said Santa Anna got what was coming to him at San Jacinto , TX I know at the end of the movie you can hear Alec Baldwin 's voice talking about the price of freedom which is my favorite part of this movie because there is no price for freedom and we face someone who will take our freedom away but not from me he wont
