Having never played any of the Gears of Wars games, i really wasn't sure what to expect as i really haven't played RTS style games in a long time. My first impression is this game is fantastic. The combat is fun, the skills are meaningful; i really like the customization (character power and progression through skills trees in addition to the cosmetics). They have knocked it out of the park with this one. Best of all, got to play it for $1 since i took advantage of the game pass trial.
