My adult son and I watched this movie amd we really enjoyed it. We kind of thought it had elements of "The Lost Boys", "Get Out", and the original "Salem's Lot" all rolled into one. I read the original short story amd also have the original movie that was made (this is a remake). I love the updated effects of this movie as well as the jump scare moments aren't exactly where you might think they would be at times. I alsonloke that this isn't a typical slasher movie and it is pretty creepy. I thought a few of the characters were likeable and found myself rooting for them. This film was updated nicely and maintained following the storyline as well (although it's been years since I've read the story). It is a typical horror movie in that there are still many people getting murdered (or vampire in this case).

Used to love George Lopez until his political opinions turned him into a person that just lacks class. I used to watch all of his shows and even went to see him in person. Now he is just sad.

This is a supernatural/cult mystery genre not filled with any real scares. The storyline is decent, however the series itself is very long and drawn out, littered with characters being overly dramatic at odd times. Spoiler Alert: Also introduced are unresolved oddities (the mold, the opera, locked up druggies?). A 2nd season would be off the list if there was one.
