Have to say if it was any other author I wouldn’t have finished it. Too much review of past characters’ lives. We’ve all read the other books (over and over) and found myself skimming over pages and pages. I have always disliked the Bree story and this is more of the same. Seems she is only there to fill a need for Jamie. I mean how many pages on her doing a portrait!? I hope we don’t have to see this much of her on the TV show. Happy to see LJG, Fergus and Ian story lines. They are fun and likeable. Happy there was a bit less of Claire. She is too much at times. Can’t help but think this story could have ended with 9 books. Felt nothing really happened. 2 stars because I am hopeful I guess. Still love the series as a whole.
