Its basic information is good to be aware of. But Archbishop Oscar Romero forgot his role as a representative of Christ. What would Christ do? He would minister to the souls of each side equally. He would not engage in political matters or express outrage at them. He would teach the gospel and morality, and not materialism. What mattered most was the souls and not the condition of men. El Salvador was not a very Christian or moral country, and violence and death spurred by hate and anger is still present. Archbishop Oscar Romero's death accomplished little as did his death. Raoul Julia is of course giving a great acting role as the confused Romero.
