Unfortunately, I made the same mistake that a lot of parents made in taking their young children to see this movie. The plot and theme of the movie was way beyond feminism and the results of the movement. I believe quite a number of parents and grandparents were expecting something totally different. I was disappointed in the pretense of tge movie Barbie being a children's movie but was very amused with the idea of an adult one. For my grandchildren it was beyond their comprehension and so were other children viewing the movie. Shame on you for using children's idea of how they really the idea of Barbie.
