I've never liked kdramas, as they tended to be extremely formulaic and unecessarily over dramatic in many scenes. My viewpoint shifted when I watched One Spring Night, which was cute and low key. When I read the plot for Crash Landing on You, I made a hard pass because of how ridiculous the synopsis was. However, everyone everywhere was recently hyping up how good it was, so I decided on a whim to watch the first episode. I thought the premise of how the protagonist ended up where she did was silly and the visual effects being very unrealistic made the watch much more entertaining. Despite beginning the series making fun of it, as I journeyed through the episodes, I found it all to be heartfelt and funny. I found myself wanting to see more, so much so that I ended up binge watching over the course of 2 to 3 days and now, having just finished, I long to see it again and again. This ended up being one of, if not, the best Asian drama I've ever had the opportunity of seeing. The characters, plot, production, music, everything was all perfectly put together.
