I don’t normally posts reviews, but my contempt for this show compels me. Just as others mentioned, the most interesting aspect of the show, the aliens, are merely background for the drama among the human characters. Now had this show been executed well, I would have no problem with this approach, but there’s not a single likable character to be had. And all the drama among them is constantly dialed up to 11 and bordering on hysterical most of the time. If they’re not yelling, screaming, or fighting, they’re doing something stupid or nonsensical, which just becomes exhausting to watch. Just imagine a show absent of narrative, regardless of which the writers and actors are clamoring for an Emmy in every scene. It’s just infuriatingly silly drama that seems to drag on endlessly with barely any narrative flow to justify it. It’s so consistently cringe that I found myself hitting the 10sec skip compulsively during many scenes and it never cost me any understanding about the “plot.” Do yourself a favor and don’t bother with this one. It’s 9+ hours of your life that’d be better served doing almost anything else.
