I have been getting up early and watching the Today Show since my freshman year of college. They were friendly faces and awesome news stories that i needed to be waking up to. However, i am now older, a wife and a mother. I still get up to watch the Today Show... So what is my complaint? I have been noticing a constant showing of commercials and "local news updates" between Today Show spurts. I used the stopwatch app on my phone to time the amount of time the Today Show is actually on during an hour of the episode and was shocked that out of 60 minutes of tv slot time they are only on for 20 minutes or less (that ends up being 80 minutes total for the total 4 one hour time slots). This is unacceptable and your viewers deserve better! There is plenty of news to report to fill more of the hour time slot.
