There is a wide range of reviews on this movie with many 5 star reviews but many 1 and 2 star reviews too. I think many of the 5 star reviews were from parents who hoped that the positive messages of the movie resonated with their young children. However the negative criticisms of the movie were valid too, especially the observations re Marcel's irritating voice and slow pacing of the film. Some of the 5 to 10 year olds in the theatre seemed to grow restless pretty soon into the film. I don't think any child under 5 would understand the messages of the film.
